Intro to Web Design and HTML
This course covers fundamentals of HTML and will take you through the Process of creating a web site. Prior web site design or HTML knowledge is not needed. Each student will get hands-on experience with HTML coding (No Wizards, MS FrontPage, or Dreamweaver). Students will be using Notepad and Internet Explorer Browser to create a web page. Materials or books are not required or used since this is a hands-on course. Each student will be required to build a 3 - 5 page custom web site using the following HTML tags:

People wanting to take part in maintaining a company website. People interested in building their own personal or business web site and post it online. People who are curious about web design and its functions. People who want to learn pure HTML coding and web site design without using any wizards, such as Microsoft Front page, Macromedia Dreamweaver, etc.







Intermediate Web Design and HTML

Each student will get hands-on experience with advanced HTML coding, real world use of HTML coding and Cascading Style Sheet 2. Introduction to Microsoft Active Server pages will also be covered as well as techniques to get better listed on Search Engines and how to embed a JavaScript. Students will use the Notepad and Internet Explorer Browser to design the site. The pre-requisite to this course is Web Design I or equivalent course or experience. Materials or books are not required or used since this is a hands on course. Each student will be required to build a professional commercial web site using all but not limited to the web technique used in class. This course is 100% hands-on and covers the following topics:

Planning and Setting up a web design template and environment, comments

     Web Site Blueprint (Site Structure)
     Directory Structure, absolute path.
     Using a Meta Tag to get Listed
     Eliminate Browser Offset
     Designing for different Monitor Resolutions (fixed Vs. Dynamic)
     Creating a Master or Global Page Template
     Creating more Private Templates for Navigations, Content Body, Footer
     Creating a Cascading Style Sheet File
